Baseball drops DH to Spalding

LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- The baseball team was swept on Friday by Spalding in a doubleheader.  The Panthers allowed four final inning runs to lost 13-12 in game one, and Greenville was defeated 11-1 in game two.

In game one, the Panthers held an 11-3 lead after four and a half innings, but Spalding scored three in the fifth, three in the sixth, and four in the seventh for the win.

Sam Hodges had a breakout day at the plate with a home run and four RBI.

Game two went to Spalding from the beginning.  They got three runs in the third, four in the fifth, and four in the seventh to end the game.

Travis Ralls went 2-for-2 with two walks in the game.

The Panthers (8-13, 3-5 SLIAC) host Westminster on Wednesday at 5 p.m. in a doubleheader.
