Spirit program coordinator Sean Anthony Washington participates in Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade

NEW YORK CITY - The Thanksgiving holiday was not one of rest and relaxation for Greenville spirit program coordinator Sean Anthony Washington.  Coach Washington went to the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade to participate in the event.  He was invited to join Spirit of America's entry at the famous event.

For 33 years, Spirit of America has been associated with the Parade.  This year was significant as it was the coldest parade in the event's history and the second coldest Thanksgiving Day in New York City history.

Coach Washington joined over 350 cheerleaders and 600 dancers in performing live on national television on the Macy's star.

Additionally, he was one of 10 Performance Staff to be a part of the opening performance (with the nationally renowned Kilgore College Rangerettes) of the parade.

Congratulations are in order for Coach Sean Anthony Washington!
