MOUNT PLEASANT, Iowa -- The football team piled up 811 yards of total offense as they grabbed a comeback 48-41 win over Iowa Wesleyan on Saturday.

Greenville trailed early in the game, falling behind 13-0 after the first quarter.

The Panthers collected their first points of the game early in the second quarter when Gregoire Franchomme caught a 16 yard touchdown pass from George Harris.

Iowa Wesleyan pushed the lead to 20-7 on the next possession, but Greenville capped the first half with a 23 yard field goal from Bradley Stubbs for a 20-10 deficit at halftime.

Greenville made the score 20-12 after getting a safety with about seven and a half minutes remaining in the third quarter.

The Panthers tied the game 20-20 when Franchomme caught a 19 yard pass from Harris and a two-point rush by Damario Vanover was good.

Iowa Wesleyan struck back on their first play from scrimmage after the score was tied to give themselves another seven point lead.  They tacked on another touchdown on the first play of the fourth quarter for a 33-20 lead.

The Panthers managed to get 28 points in the final quarter, headlined by three rushing touchdowns from Jonny Pruiett to take a 41-33 lead.  Iowa Wesleyan tied the game with 3:12 remaining in the game, but Greenville took their final drive 80 yards in 13 plays to win it.

Derek Greifzu hauled in a nine yard touchdown pass from Harris with 20 seconds remaining.

Harris completed 21-of-40 passes for 360 yards and three touchdowns.

Pruiett and Vanover each rushed the ball 20 times.  Pruiett ended with 158 yards and Vanover posted 140.

Franchomme caught 11 passes for 232 yards.

On defense, Gavin Jordan recorded 10 tackles, including two for a loss of yards.  He also recovered a fumble.

Herman Esquivel and Colton Faure each had quarterback sacks.

The Panthers (3-6, 3-5 UMAC) conclude their season on Saturday against Minnesota-Morris at Noon.  Greenville will honor its seniors at 11:40 a.m. during a pregame ceremony.
