Robbie Schomaker has served as head football coach since 2013. Coming off an 8-win season and a second UMAC coach of the year award in 2019, the 2020 Panthers look to build on the momentum of a successful 2019 season.

During his time as head coach, Schomaker has overseen and developed the only two AFCA NCAA Division III All Americans in Greenville history. Nicholas Morrow was named a second team AFCA All American defensive back after the 2016 season, and Greg Franchomme was named a second team AFCA All American tight end after the 2017 season.

In 2017, Morrow sign his first NFL contract with the Oakland Raiders. He would go on to play in all 16 games including five starts his first season. He is now entering his fourth season in the NFL and is a major player in the Las Vegas linebacker corps.

Coach Schomaker has led the Panthers to some of the most successful seasons in Greenville football history. In 2013, the football team finished with a 9-1 record and was invited to the program's fifth NCCAA Victory Bowl.  The 2013 squad broke numerous team records in extending a winning streak spanning two seasons to 17 games and winning nine games in a season for the first time in Greenville football history.  The 2013 team also received votes in the NCAA Division III AFCA national coaches poll.

In 2019 the football team finished with an 8-2 record and was invited to the program’s sixth NCCAA Victory Bowl.

Schomaker came to Greenville College in 2010 after four seasons of coaching. During Schomaker’s first three seasons he coordinated the offense and coached the quarterbacks. The Panthers finished in top 10 in the NCAA Division III for rushing yards with an average in excess of 300 yards per game each year Schomaker served as offensive coordinator.

His 2011 offense ranked third in the country with 501 yards per game. The team also led the conference in rushing yards, total yards, and points in 2011 and 2012.

Before Greenville, Schomaker was at Trinity International University where he spent four seasons as the offensive line coach and two seasons as the special teams coordinator.

Coach Schomaker received his bachelor's degree in business management at Trinity International in 2005 where he was a two-year starter at defensive end.

Schomaker and his wife Annie were married in 2009 and have two children, Kaiyra (4) and Shilo (3). Annie is one of the top activist in the state of Illinois in fighting human trafficking.
