The Greenville University fishing team was able to place 48th and 163rd in a field of 199 teams at the Bassmaster College Tour stop on Bull Shoals Lake.
The Greenville University Bass Fishing team will be sending a team to the 2020 FLW National Championship. Cale Jausel and Jordan Phillips placed 20th of 194 teams at the FLW College Fishing Open to qualify for the championships.
The bass fishing team competed in their second to last tournament of the season over the weekend. The event was held on Kinkaid Lake, located just under two hours south of campus.
The bass fishing team made the seven hour trek to Russellville to compete in the AFTCO Collegiate Bass Open put on by Cabela’s. The tournament took place on Lake Dardanelle, a 40,000 acre impoundment on the Arkansas River.
The Bass Fishing Team competed in the FLW Central Qualifier on Lake of the Ozarks over the weekend. One hundred sixteen boats from over 40 different colleges competed in the event which served as the final chance to qualify for the FLW National Championship for the 2017-18 season.
