Aurora Central Catholic High School angler David Bartlett has signed a letter of commitment to fish for the Greenville University Bass Fishing Team. He was joined by his family. Unfortunately GU coaches were not able to accompany David for the signing due to the current COVID-19 pandemic.
The bass fishing team was led by the performance of Nate Overocker and Evan Seggerman who finished 14th in a 130 boat field in the FLW Central Qualifier at Table Rock Lake. The duo put together a five fish limit weighing 14 pounds, 10 ounces, which included all three varieties of black bass living in Table Rock Lake.
The bass fishing team finished 69th and 108th in a 163 boat field at the FLW National Championship in Florida. Held at the Harris Chain of Lakes, teams must qualify to fish at the FLW National Championship.
The Greenville University fishing team got off to a cold and wet start in their first event of the spring season. The Bassmaster College Tour Stop #1 took place on Toledo Bend Lake, which lies on the Texas/Louisiana border.
The Bass Fishing Team came away from their most recent event with another great finish. The junior duo of Cordell Beckmann and Dru Johnson brought a five fish limit weighing 14.26 pounds to the scales to solidify their second place finish.
