Men's basketball wins outright SLIAC title

GREENVILLE, Ill. -- The men's basketball team clinched the outright SLIAC league championship for the second straight season with a 134-113 win over Webster on Saturday.  It marks the third straight season that Greenville has won or shared the conference title.

Sonti Grady had a high-scoring game for Greenville as he posted 26 points.  Isiah Price gave Greenville 18 points.

Josias Parker posted a double-double with 13 points and 11 assists.  Johari Dix finished one assist short of a double-double with 14 points, nine rebounds, and a team-high five steals.

Grady and Parker added four steals.

Greenville forced Webster into committing 33 turnovers and had 23 steals.

The Panthers (17-8, 14-4 SLIAC) finished on top of Eureka by one game in the SLIAC standings.  They will play Westminster on Thursday in the SLIAC tournament at approximately 8 p.m.
