GREENVILLE, Ill. -- The Greenville men's basketball team has been placed in the regional hosted by Augustana in Rock Island, Ill.  The Panthers qualified for their first NCAA national tournament by winning the championship of the SLIAC tournament on Saturday.

Greenville (19-8) will play the host this Friday at approximately 7:30 p.m.

The winners of first round games will meet in the second round at 7 p.m. Saturday.

The other pairing is Hope and Augsburg.

The Panthers have not played any teams in their regional or NCAA field, but the Panthers gained a key non-conference win against UAA opponent Case Western Reserve.
