Men's basketball takes down Blackburn on road

CARLINVILLE, Ill. - The men's basketball team picked up a road win at Blackburn on Saturday as they came out on top 128-115.  The Panthers were led by the scoring provided by Eric Williams who had 31 points in the contest.

The Panthers and Beavers went to halftime tied at 61, but Greenville came alive in the second half to outdistance Blackburn 67-54 and take the win.  The Panthers held an 18 point lead with 4:03 remaining in the game.

Also joining Williams with a high scoring effort was Johari Dix with 23 points.

Kieshaun Young-Jones added 19 points, and Isaih Price had a 13 point game.

Williams was the team leader with seven rebounds and six steals.  Dix chipped in seven assists.

The Panthers (12-6, 9-2 SLIAC) host MacMurray on Wednesday night in H.J. Long Gymnasium at 7:30 p.m.
