Men's soccer ends season with 1-0 shutout win over Blackburn

GREENVILLE, Ill. -- The men's soccer team concluded their season on Saturday with a 1-0 win against Blackburn.  Prior to the game, the program honored seniors Coleman Childers and Brent McCollum for their contributions to Greenville men's soccer.

The Panthers took the lead in the 87th minute when Charles Dalton scored his first goal of the season and second of his collegiate career with an assist from Max Finley.

Jon Adams had a one-on-one breakaway in the 66th minute that was stopped by Blackburn's goalkeeper.

Greenville's Caleb Mulholland and Tyler Earick provided the bulk of Greenville's offensive opportunities.  Mulholland had 4 shots, and Earick added 3 shots.  Two of Earick's shots were on-goal.

Goalkeepers Nick Holland and Jonathan Bremer shared the shutout.  Holland had two saves in the first half.

The Panthers (6-8-5, 3-3-3 SLIAC) ended their season with a fifth place position in the SLIAC standings.
