Men's soccer blanks Franklin 2-0

FRANKLIN, Ind. - The men's soccer team continued their dominance of the non-conference teams on their schedule with a 2-0 shutout win at Franklin on Saturday afternoon.

The Panthers received goals from Juan Jose Herranz and Juan Garcia late in the second half for the win.

Greenville tested Franklin throughout the match as they peppered the Grizzlies with 25 shots.

Herranz led Greenville with seven shots, including three on goal.

Greenville controlled the match offensively in both halves.  The Panthers outshot Franklin 9-2 in the first half and racheted things up in the second half with a 16-5 lead in shots.

Goalkeeper Nick Holland earned his third shutout of the year as his goals against average dropped closer to the 0.50 mark.  In seven matches spanning nearly 611 minutes, he has only allowed four goals.  He had one save in the match.

The Panthers (7-1) host Washington-St. Louis on Monday night at 7 p.m. in their last match before conference play.
