GREENVILLE, Ill. - The men's soccer team received a pair of goals from freshman Jared McPeek, the second of which was the golden goal in double overtime, to take a 2-1 win over Principia on Tuesday.

McPeek's first goal came 59 minutes into the game when he opened the match's scoring with an assist from Napoleon Urquidi.  Principia tied the match with just under six minutes in the game when Kaleb Keller received a free kick just outside the 18 and placed it perfectly in the upper 90.

Greenville piled up 26 shots in the match, led by McPeek's six.

Edgar Bueno produced five shots.

GU was kept in the game with a stellar goalkeeping effort by Nick Holland who recorded six saves.  One of Holland's saves thwarted a Principia one-on-one breakaway late in the match.
