JACKSONVILLE, Ill. - The men's soccer team captured a 4-0 win over MacMurray on Wednesday afternoon to secure an important victory in the conference race for the SLIAC tournament.

Jared McPeek posted a hat trick with all three goals coming in the first half.  Adam Jones also added a goal as Greenville grabbed a 4-0 lead in the first 45 minutes.

Goalkeepers Nick Holland and Jesus Hernandez split time in the net as they combined for the shutout.  Hernandez had one second half save.

GU outshot MacMurray 12-7.

The Panthers (12-3-1, 4-1-1 SLIAC) will play Westminster on Saturday at 2 p.m. in Greenville.  It will be GU's Homecoming and Senior Day match.
