Men's soccer falls 2-1 to SLIAC leaders

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The men's soccer team dropped their SLIAC match with Spalding on Tuesday by a 2-1 score.

Greenville fell behind in the first half with Spalding's goal in the sixth minute of the match.  The Panthers tied it 1-all with a goal from Jared McPeek in the 31st minute.

The 1-1 score held up until the 52nd minute when Spalding received the game-winning goal.

Greenville lost despite outshooting Spalding by a 19-9 margin.

McPeek provided five shots, and four shots were taken by Edgar Bueno and Juan Jose Herranz.

Goalkeeper Nick Holland added one save. 

The Panthers (13-4-1, 5-2-1 SLIAC) go to Eureka for a match on Saturday.  They will play in the SLIAC tournament on Thursday, Nov. 1, on the road.
