Men's soccer rolls to 7-0 win over Eureka

GREENVILLE, Ill. - The men's soccer team earned a 7-0 win over Eureka on Friday night in their Homecoming match.

Jared McPeek led Greenville with two goals and one assist.

It only took the Panthers nine seconds to get on the scoreboard as McPeek provided his eighth goal of the season.

Twenty-two and a half minutes later McPeek added his second goal of the night to establish a 2-0 lead for GU.

Christian Gomez, Napoleon Urquidi, Matt White, Adam Jones, and Luis Duran tacked on goals for Greenville.

Urquidi, Jones, Jose Soutullo, White, Juan Garcia, and McPeek all registered assists.

Goalkeepers Nick Holland, Noah Matthews, and Michael Gonzalez provided a shutout. Holland had two saves, and Gonzalez provided one save.

The Panthers (7-7, 3-2 SLIAC) go to Spalding on Wednesday for a match that will have large ramifications for Greenville in their race for a conference tournament position.
