LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The men's soccer team battled Spalding to a 3-3 draw on Wednesday night.
After a scoreless first half, Greenville slipped behind 2-0 in the first 10 minutes of the second period.
In the 61st minute, Jared McPeek scored a goal with an assist from Gabriel Sule, and Greenville's Kyle Sunderland tied the score at 2-2 in the 69th minute as Pablo Valverde assisted.
Jaime Torres gave Greenville the 3-2 lead in the 79th minute with another assist from Valverde.
Despite the tie, Greenville outshot Spalding 15-10. However Spalding held an 8-3 edge in corner kicks.
Torres led GU with four shots, and McPeek contributed three shots.
The Panthers (1-2-3, 1-0-2 SLIAC) travel to Fontbonne for a match on Saturday afternoon at 3 p.m.
