GREENVILLE, Ill. - The men's soccer team received a pair of goals from Jared McPeek in their 2-0 shutout over Westminster on Wednesday.
After a scoreless first half for both sides, McPeek scored in the 70th and 81st minutes to give GU the win. Rafael Navas provided the assist on the first goal, and Napoleon Urquidi was the helper on the second goal.
Goalkeeper Hiram Cruz had a clean shot with one save in each half. He faced 13 Westminster shots.
Greenville held the overall edge in shots with a 16-13 advantage. The Panthers outshot Westminster 10-6 in the first half.
Both teams had six corner kicks. Greenville took five corners in the first half and Westminster had five in the second half.
