GREENVILLE, Ill. - The men's soccer team received two goals in a 90-second span in the 85th and 86th minutes of Tuesday night's contest to tie the score and take a 2-1 lead during Tuesday night's SLIAC tournament win at Francis Field.
Halfway through the first half, the Red Devils put up a goal to make it 1-0.
The Panthers spent the rest of the game trailing, but Gabriel Sule sent a shot in late in the game, tying it up.
Pablo Valverde quickly added another one to the board only a minute later. Gabriel Lima and Patricio Pichardo had the assists.
With only four minutes left in the game, Eureka could not tie it up, and Greenville walked away with a win.
Jaime Sainz defended the net for the Panthers with one save.
The Panthers (9-7-4) will travel to Spalding for a SLIAC semifinal match on Thursday at 4 p.m. CT.
