Men's track and field takes fifth in NCCAA national championships

HOUGHTON, N.Y. -- The men's track and field team captured the fifth place position at the NCCAA national championships.  Greenville's 4x800 meter relay team was the NCCAA champion.

The 4x800 relay team of Nathan Allyn, John Mangold, Nathan Potts, and Andrew Sharp finished the race in 7:51.90

Mitchell Hooten gave Greenville a second place showing in the shot put with a mark of 14.99 meters (49 feet, 2.25 inches)

Jeremiah Davis was third in the 200 meter dash with a time of 22.13 seconds.

Jarrid Williams took third in the triple jump with a distance of 13.85 meters (45-5.25).

Chris Crawford gained a third place position with a weight throw distance of 16.12 meters (52-10.75).

The Panthers travel to Principia for the SLIAC invitational over the weeked.
