Men's track and field takes runner up position at Rose-Hulman

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The men's track and field team earned second place of 11 teams at the Rose-Hulman Twilight meet on Friday.  Greenville had seven event champions.

Greenville's first place performances included

Jeremiah Davis, 100 meter dash, 11.07 seconds
Davis, 200 meter dash, 22.39 seconds
Andrew Sharp, 800 meter run, 1:54.75
4x100 meter relay (Davis, Anthony Cable, Jarrid Williams, Manny Benitez), 42.19 seconds
Treyvon Manning, high jump, 1.95 meters
Cable, long jump, 7.02 meters
Ryan Burgess, hammer throw, 50.44 meters

The team scored 196.5 points to finish second to Rose-Hulman.  The squad will be the host of the SLIAC championships in Greenville on Friday and Saturday, April 28 and 29.
