Men's track and field led by Sharp at Greenville Select

GREENVILLE, Ill. — The men's track and field team earned 84 points on Saturday to take third place of 17 teams at the Greenville Select meet. Greenville was led by an event-winner Andrew Sharp.

Sharp produced a winning time of 1:52.59 in the 800 meter run, and his teammate Nathan Potts was second in 1:53.34.

Greg Mitchell placed second in the high jump with a clearance of 1.95 meters (6 feet-4.75 inches). He was also second in the long jump with a distance of 6.66 meters (21-10.25).

John Mangold ended the 1500 meter run in 4:00.20 for third place.

Dylan Goodyear finished the 3000 steeplechase with a third place time of 9:57.17.

The 4x400 meter relay team included Sharp, Matt Hughes, Potts, and Jackson Pierce. They were third in a time of 3:25.46.

The Panthers head to Rose-Hulman next Friday.
