Men's track and field wins four events at Rose-Hulman

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The men's track and field team earned fifth place of 12 teams at Rose-Hulman on Friday.  Greenville featured four event champions.

Greg Mitchell won the high jump event with a height of 1.90 meters (6 feet-2.75 inches). He was also the champion in the long jump with a mark of 6.41 meters (21-0.5).

Andrew Sharp was first in the 800 with a time of 1:52.16, and John Mangold won the 3000 with a time of 8:29.47.

Mitchell posted a second place performance in the triple jump as he reached 13.53 meters (44-4.75).

Ben Perry recorded a third place mark in the hammer throw with a long distance of 50.21 meters (164-9).

The Panthers will host the SLIAC and AMC championships on Friday and Saturday.
