Washington wins shot put for men's track and field at WashU

ST. LOUIS, Mo. - The men's track and field team started their spring outdoor season with an appearance at the WashU mini meet on Saturday. L.C. Washington ended as the winner in the shot put.

Washington posted a distance of 14.50 meters in his winning shot put effort.

Chris Crawford received the third place mark in the hammer throw with a distance of 51.45 meters.

David Martin finished fourth in the 110 meter hurdles with a time of 15.86 seconds, and the 4x400 meter relay team was also fourth with a mark of 3:25.33.

Di'Mond Salmond took fourth place in the triple jump with a leap of 13:15 meters.

The Panthers return to WashU for a meet on Friday and Saturday.
