Scott Wilson joined the Greenville Track and Field/Cross Country program in January, 2017. He currently serves as Sprints Coach and Recruiting Coordinator for the program. He brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the staff, having over twenty-nine years of successful collegiate coaching experience under his belt, including over ten years as a head coach.

At the heart of Coach Wilson’s coaching philosophy is his willingness to serve, teach, and to inspire student-athletes to grow into the people that God would have them become.

Coach Wilson holds a Master’s degree in Physical Education from Azusa Pacific University (CA) and an undergraduate degree in Education from Wheaton College (IL). He has USATF Level I and II Coaching Certification. Holds a National Strength and Conditioning – PT Certification & is a Certified High Performance Coach from the Athletic Lab Coaching Academy.

His road to Greenville includes time at Central Michigan University (2 years), *Anderson University (14 years/*8.5 years as Head Coach), University of Nebraska (1 year), and *Azusa Pacific University (6 years/*3.5 as Head Coach).

Athletically, he was an accomplished athlete, winning the Wisconsin high school state 1600m title (WISAA) his senior year in the best time in the state, all divisions. Collegiately, he earned All-American honors in track and field while a student-athlete at Wheaton College.

Coaching accolades:
• Coached eight NCAA DIII All-Americans in the sprints since coming to Greenville - three of which were National Runner-ups (Women’s Indoor 400m, Men’s Outdoor 200m, & Men’s Indoor 60m.)
• Men’s 4x100 relay has qualified for the NCAA Division III Nationals 3 of the last 4 years.
• Named Heartland Athletic Collegiate Conference “Coach of the Year” eight times while head coach at Anderson University
• Named Golden State Athletic Conference “Coach of the Year” while at Azusa Pacific
• Led the Azusa Pacific Women’s Track and Field team to a second place team finish at the NAIA Outdoor National Championships

Coach Wilson is also an adjunct professor at Greenville, teaching in the Sport and Kinesiology Department.

He is married to Jennifer and they have two boys, Michael and Wynn.
