Men’s volleyball falls in three sets to No. 6 Carthage

GREENVILLE, Ill. – The men's volleyball team suffered a three set defeat to NCAA Division III No. 6 Carthage on Friday.

Greenville played tight with Carthage in the first set, dropping the first 25-23.  Carthage took the second and third sets by 25-13 and 25-17 margins.

Manuel Benitez provided the majority of Greenville's offense as he posted 18 kills in 37 attempts.  Tanner Smith assisted on 26 Greenville kills.

Smith joined Andrew Johnson to stave off Carthage's offensive attacks as they each had eight digs.

Johnny Milabu posted two block assists.

The Panthers (5-13, 1-12 MCVL) will host Milwaukee School of Engineering at 1 p.m. on Saturday before facing Dordt at 3 p.m.
