Men's volleyball upsets third place Lakeland

PLYMOUTH, Wis. -- The men's volleyball team recorded a five set win over Lakeland on Thursday as they picked up their second MCVL win of the year.

The Panthers and Muskies alternated set victories as Lakeland won sets one and three by 25-18 and 25-17 scores.  Greenville took the second set 25-18 and the fourth set 25-20 to force a deciding tiebreaker that they won 17-15.

Manuel Benitez picked up 28 kills to again lead Greenville's offensive attack.

Tanner Smith provided 49 assists.

Peter Binder was active on defense with 10 digs.  Nick Corrigan had nine digs, and Smith produced eight digs.

Greenville's blocking efforts were paced by Johnny Milabu with one solo block and three block assists.

The Panthers (7-15, 2-14 MCVL) host Olivet on Friday at 7 p.m.
