Men's volleyball falls in five sets at Olivet

OLIVET, Mich. -- The men's volleyball team led by two sets, but they were unable to win the third set in losing in five sets to Olivet on Friday.

Greenville gained momentum in the first two sets, grabbing 25-22 and 26-24 wins.  Olivet came back with a pair of 25-18 set wins to set up a deciding fifth set which extended to 22-20.

The Panthers served six match points, but they were unable to convert the match-winning point.

Marc Gonzalez established a new career high with 20 kills and 23 points.  He added a service ace and four block assists.  He also tallied 10 digs.

Isaiah Canales was a presence at the net as he picked up seven block assists.

Logan Dameris faced Olivet's attack and produced 13 digs, and Peter Binder also added 10 digs.

The Panthers (5-1) continue their road trip with a match at Adrian on Saturday morning.
