Men's volleyball wins MCVL opener

GREENVILLE, Ill. -- The men's volleyball team collected a second win over Olivet this season with a four-set victory at home on Friday night.

Greenville took the opening set 25-23 but fell 25-21 in the second set to face a one-all tie.

The Panthers dominated the third set, taking it 25-16, and managed to win the match with a 25-21 fourth set.

Kyle Ward piled up 13 kills against just one error in his 25 attacks for a hitting rate of .480.

Greenville's blocking was solid, and the team accounted for 16 blocks in the match.

Johnny Milabu led Greenville at the net with one solo block and seven block assists.

Also on the defensive side, Nick Corrigan was the leader in digs with 14.

Tanner Smith directed the offense with his 42 set assists.

The Panthers (8-6, 1-0 MCVL) will host the MCVL's Adrian and NAIA's Robert Morris in matches on Saturday.
