Men's volleyball tops Missouri Baptist, falls to Fontbonne

GREENVILLE, Ill. -- The men's volleyball team returned home and got back on track with a three set sweep of Missouri Baptist before a four set loss to Fontbonne on Tuesday night.

Johnny Milabu paced the Panther offensive attack in the opening match with 10 kills and no errors in 12 attempts.  He hit at a .833 clip.

Teammate Kyle Ward piled up a team-high 12 kills and a hitting percentage of .450.

Nick Corrigan's effective serve accounted for four aces, and Tanner Smith tallied 28 set assists.

Greenville's blocking was led by Isaiah Canales with two solo blocks and four block assists.

The second match of the evening saw Greenville win the second set and lead the third set until the mid-point, but it wasn't enough in a 25-16, 22-25, 25-21, 25-18 defeat by Fontbonne.

Ward, Corrigan, and Milabu all reached double figures in kills.  Ward and Corrigan led the way with 13 kills, and Milabu totaled 12 kills.

Smith once again produced the team-high in assists with 48.

The Panthers ended with 75 digs in the match, led by Dameris with 18.  Corrigan had 17 digs, and Smith posted 13 digs.

The Panthes (9-13) host Illinois Tech on Friday at 7 p.m.
