NAPERVILLE, Ill. -- The men's volleyball team faced the MCVL's co-leader North Central squad on Friday night. The Panthers nearly took a set from the first place team, but they lost in three sets.
The set scores were 25-19, 26-24, 25-21.
Nick Corrigan gave the Panthers 10 1/2 points in the match. Corrigan led the team with six kills and three service aces. He also added a solo block and block assist.
Kyle Ward tied Corrigan for the team-high in kills with six.
Defensive specialist Logan Dameris totaled eight digs, and setter Tanner Smith posted 21 assists.
The Panthers hit at a .200 rate in the first set and improved to .259 in the second. They slipped back in the third set to a .036 rate with seven errors.
Greenville (10-15, 1-5 MCVL) plays at No. 2 Carthage on Saturday at 3 p.m. in Kenosha, Wis.
