Men's volleyball slowed at Fontbonne

ST. LOUIS, Mo. - The men's volleyball team got an early look at Fontbonne who competes against them as members of the MCVL, and the Panthers suffered a three-set loss at the hands of the Griffins in a non-conference match.

The Panthers fell by a 25-15, 25-11, 25-19 final score.

Greenville was unable to get on track on the attack early as they managed a zero hitting percentage in the first two sets.  They piled up 7 kills/7 errors/30 attacks/.000 hitting percentage in set number one and went 7/7/31/.000 in the second set.

In the third set, GU's offense improved to 12/6/26/.231.

Kyle Ward ended as Greenville's top attacker with nine kills.  He was followed by Nick Corrigan with eight kills.

Tanner Smith provided 24 set assists.

The Panther defensive efforts were headlined by Logan Dameris with 11 of GU's 22 digs.  Smith added a solo block and two block assists at the net.

Greenville (6-5) helds to Adrian for a match on Friday at 7 p.m.
