Men's volleyball drops two in Chicago

CHICAGO, Ill. - The men's volleyball team suffered a pair of three set losses at North Park on Saturday. Greenville dropped a CCIW match to North Park before falling to Penn State-Behrend in the second match.

In the day's first match, the Panthers lost 25-8, 25-18, 25-14 against North Park. The Panthers were led on offense by George Black and Elijah Wychers who finished with 14 of Greenville's 15 kills. Black posted eight kills, and Wychers added six kills.

Black provided a point at the net on a solo block, and Phillip Curtis and Wychers combined for a block.

Ryan Nelson helped GU as they faced North Park's attack with eight digs.

GU performed best on the attack in the third set when they posted seven kills and four errors among their 22 attacks and hit at a rate of .136.

In the second match, the Panthers played better but still ended up with a 25-16, 25-20, 25-17 loss.

Black provided a match-high 13 kills for Greenville.

Andrew Martin added four block assists, and EJ Batchelder and Black each had two block assists.

Nelson tallied eight digs, and Alejandro Condoy registered seven digs.

The Panthers (1-14, 0-5 CCIW) go to Augustana for a match on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
