ROCK ISLAND, Ill. -- Participating in their largest meet of the year thus far, the men's cross country team earned fourth place in a field of 31 teams. Senior Jacob Burrell was the leading runner for the Panthers as he produced a time of 27:04 over the eight kilometer course and finished 14th in the field.
Freshman Dylan Goodyear produced the No. 2 time for Greenville with a 35th place mark in 28:06.
Junior Nathan Potts was two runners behind Goodyear with a 28:11 on the afternoon.
The Greenville scoring was closed out by Nathan Allyn and Jaylen Shelton.
Allyn provided a 28:17 41st place finish, and Shelton was 51st in 28:32.
Overall, Greenville chalked 162 points in the meet. They defeated SLIAC member institutions Principia and Webster.
The team returns to action on Friday, Sept. 30, at Olivet Nazarene.
