Men's cross country places second at Millikin meet

DECATUR, Ill. -- The men's cross country team was led by an eighth place overall performance from Andrew Sharp as they took second at Millikin on Friday.

Sharp posted a time of 25:22 as he finished 31 seconds ahead of Greenville's No. 2 runner Jaylen Shelton who completed the course in 25:51.

Shelton gave the Panthers 14 points.

The No. 17-19 runners were all from Greenville and separated by 14 seconds.

John Mangold was 17th with a time of 26:03, Nathan Potts 18th in 26:10, and Dylan Goodyear 19th in 26:17.

The Panthers return to action at Bradley on October 13 in their final meet before the SLIAC championships.
