Men's cross country improves regional ranking, checks in 17th

ROCK ISLAND, Ill. — The men's cross country team completed their season at the NCAA Division III midwest regional on Saturday. The Panthers posted 486 points to take the 17th place position of 36 teams competing in the regional.

John Mangold was Greenville's leader with 64 points. He completed the 8k race in 25:06 to grab 64th place in the field of 254 runners.

Jaylen Shelton provided the Panthers No. 2 mark. He was 77th with a time of 25:22.

Nathan Potts gave Greenville a 82nd place finish with time of 25:26.

The Panthers scoring was completed by Dylan Goodyear (95th, 25:38) and Collin Kessinger (171st, 27:05)

The men ended the season as SLIAC champions and improved on last year's 21st place regional finish by four positions.
