Softball falls in doubleheader at Millikin

DECATUR, Ill. -- The softball team was on the short end of two games on Thursday at Millikin.  Greenville lost game one 4-1 before falling 7-0 in game two.

In game one, Kate Jolliff went 2-for-3 with the Lady Panthers only run scored.

Breanna Anderson threw five innings and allowed four runs, three earned.

Game two was all Millikin.  The Lady Panthers could only scratch across two hits - one by Tiffany Samsoe and the other from Kearsta Ornellas.

Cayla Speaks was the losing pitcher with just two innings pitched while allowing five runs, four earned.

Becca Oldham pitched the remaining four innings and gave up just two runs.

The Lady Panthers (15-12) host Fontbonne on Friday at 3 p.m. in a SLIAC doubleheader.
