Women's basketball gains SLIAC win over Fontbonne

GREENVILLE, Ill. -- The women's basketball team utilized a dominating third quarter in turning around a 27-26 halftime deficit as they picked up a 77-59 win over Fontbonne.

Greenville doubled up Fontbonne 28-14 in the third period as the women came out of the locker room with a point to prove.

Greenville's Taylor Paulin provided the offensive firepower for the Lady Panthers as she exploded for 19 points on six baskets, including five three-pointers.  Paulin was also the team's high rebounder with six caroms, and she topped the squad in steals with three.

Laura Goodnight and Wesley Woodard added 11 points each to Greenville's total.

Maria Reinhard and Claire Schmitt passed out the majority of the team's assists as Reinhard led with six assists, and Schmitt provided five.

The Lady Panthers (8-3, 3-1 SLIAC) are off until New Year's Eve when they travel to Huntington in Indiana.
