GREENVILLE, Ill. -- The women's basketball team suffered a 66-49 loss to the SLIAC-leading Eureka team on Wednesday night. Morgan St. James produced 10 points and four blocks to lead the Lady Panthers.
The game was a tight battle heading into the third quarter as Greenville and Eureka were tied 30-30 at halftime.
Eureka outscored Greenville 18-6 in the third quarter as they gained control of the game. Eureka expanded the lead in the fourth quarter.
Wesley Woodard had a nine point outing, and Laura Goodnight picked up seven rebounds.
Greenville made just 33 percent of it's field goal attempts and just a shade over 15 percent of three pointers.
The Lady Panthers (9-6, 4-3 SLIAC) are off for a week and travel to Blackburn for a game next Wednesday at 6 p.m.
