GREENVILLE, Ill. -- The women's basketball team suffered a 73-67 setback to Westminster in the SLIAC tournament semifinals on Friday night.

Wesley Woodard produced a game-high 19 points to lead all scorers.

The Panthers were victims of a poor shooting performance that saw them make just 35 percent of its field goal attempts and be outrebounded by a 49-38 margin.

Morgan St. James scored 13 points and was one rebound from a double-double as she ended with nine.

Greenville opened the game with a two-point 15-13 advantage after one quarter.  At halftime, Westminster led 31-27.

The Panthers shaved three points off the halftime deficit and trailed by one, 52-51, after three quarters.

Greenville managed to take a three point lead with about four and a half minutes remaining at 62-59, but the Panthers could only muster five more points as Westminster scored 14 to win the game.

Prior to the contest, the SLIAC recognized Greenville's all-conference award winners.

The Panthers were headlined by first team recipient Wesley Woodard.  Laura Goodnight and Maria Reinhard were chosen to the second team, and Lauren Stephenson was elected as Greenville's all-sportsmanship recipient.

Head coach Roy Mulholland received the SLIAC coach of the year award for the first time in his 19 years as head coach.  He led the Panthers to the program's second-ever SLIAC regular season title, going 15-1 in the SLIAC this year.  This marks the first time in program history they have hosted the tournament as the league's top seed. He joined Neal Frantz (1996) as the only Panther coach to take home the conference's top coaching award.

The Panthers (20-6) will continue their season in the NCCAA regional.  Further details will be released next week.
