JACKSONVILLE, Ill. - The women's basketball team eased to a 75-51 win over Robert Morris Springfield on Saturday afternoon in the MacMurray tournament.
Greenville's win was never in question. The Panthers took a 19-10 lead after the first quarter and held a 45-20 advantage at halftime.
In the third quarter, GU again outscored RMUS, leading 66-39. The Panthers allowed Robert Morris Springfield to make up three points as RMUS held a 12-9 scoring lead in the fourth quarter.
Jantzen Michael recorded 14 points to lead all Greenville scorers, and she also snagged a pair of steals.
Wesley Woodard tallied 12 points and seven rebounds.
Ellaina Davis came off the bench for 13 points and eight rebounds.
Greenville dominated RMUS on the boards, taking a 54-32 advantage.
The Panthers (6-2) host Blackburn on Monday at 7 p.m. in H.J. Long Gymnasium.
