Women's basketball pushes winning streak to seven

FULTON, Mo. - The women's basketball team held on for a 90-87 win at Westminster on Saturday behind 25 points from Brittany Lopez.

Lopez made 9-of-13 shots from the field, including 6-of-7 three-points, and her only free throw attempt.

Hannah Krukewitt posted 20 points, seven rebounds, and five assists.

Emily Reinneck added 18 points.

The Panthers led 22-18 after the first quarter and took a 49-44 lead to halftime.

In the third quarter, Westminster held a 64-62 lead at the end of the period, but Lopez scored nine of her team leading 25 in the fourth quarter.

The Panthers (11-6, 8-2 SLIAC) travel to Webster for a game on Wednesday at 5:30 p.m.
