Women's soccer improves undefeated SLIAC start with 2-0 win

ELSAH, Ill. -- The women's soccer team continued their undefeated start to the conference season with a 2-0 shutout win at Principia on Saturday.

Greenville received two first half goals and made it hold up as they outshot Principia 15-12.

The Panthers opened the scoring in the seventh minute when Jade Taylor posted her team-high 12th goal of the season.  Less than 90 seconds later, Kate Arthur gave Greenville her sixth goal of the campaign.

Taylor and Arthur each totaled four shots, including three on goal.

Goalkeeper Marjory Coates collected seven saves in her third shutout.

The Panthers (9-4, 3-0 SLIAC) host Fontbonne on Thursday at 7 p.m. in Greenville.
