GREENVILLE, Ill. — The women's soccer team handled Rockford in the season opener, winning by a 9-0 final score.

Kate Arthur earned a hat trick in the game, including the game winner in the ninth minute of the game.

Molly McDonnell also posted a multiple goal evening with two along with a team-high seven shots.

Breanna Thomas managed to come up with a goal and two assists, while Dani Pearce and Suzi Conner added a goal and assist.

Goalkeepers Marjory Coates and Reaghan Lesh were untested in the combined shutout.

The Panthers (1-0) return to action Saturday against Olivet at 1 p.m.
