Women's soccer goes to 5-1 with win over Rose-Hulman

GREENVILLE, Ill. - The women's soccer team captured their fourth straight win with a 2-1 decision over Rose-Hulman on Tuesday night.

The Panthers had to play catchup almost immediately after Rose-Hulman scored the opening goal only two minutes into the game.

Dani Pearce converted the tying goal unassisted in the 15th minute.

Molly McDonnell scored the game-winner with just two minutes remaining after an assist from Breanna Thomas.

Despite being outshot 28-to-8, Greenville made the most of its limited opportunities.  Both Pearce and McDonnell had two shots.

Goalkeeper Marjory Coates was tested consistently as she piled up 16 saves while only allowing one to slip past her.  Her 16  saves set a season-high, one better than a 15 save effort on Sept. 3.

The Panthers (5-1) head to Dominican for a match on Friday.
