Women's soccer drops match to Benedictine

LISLE, Ill. - The women's soccer team fell in a match on Saturday night to Benedictine by a 2-1 final score.

Kate Arthur posted Greenville's only goal and tied the match at 1-1 in the night's 15th minute.

Benedictine scored the winning goal in the 78th minute.

The Panthers couldn't seem to produce as many scoring opportunities as Benedictine and were out-shot 12-to-6.

Molly McDonnell led Greenville with two shots, but neither were on goal.

Suzi Conner and Kat Stroot had a shot on goal.

Goalkeeper Marjory Coates collected six saves as she protected the net.

The Panthers (5-3) host Maranatha Baptist on Saturday at 3 p.m. in Greenville.
