Women's soccer blasts Blackburn 7-0

GREENVILLE, Ill. - The women's soccer teeam raced out to a 4-0 lead in the first half of the match, and then outscored Blackburn 3-0 in the second half to win 7-0 in Greenville on Wednesday.

Breanna Thomas headlined Greenville's offense with two goals and an assist in the match.

Dani Pearce posted the game-winning goal in the 17th minute of the match.

Other goals were scored by Suzi Conner, Gabbie Hartin, and Kate Arthur.  Greenville was also the beneficiary of an "own goal" from Blackburn.

Goalkeeper Reaghan Lesh faced a shot and produced the save in the shutout. 

The Panthers (9-3, 2-0 SLIAC) play at Fontbonne on Saturday night at 6 p.m.
