Women's soccer tripped up by Fontbonne

ST. LOUIS, Mo. - The women's soccer team allowed an early goal against Fontbonne and was held scoreless as they suffered a 1-0 loss to Fontbonne in SLIAC action.

Fontbonne's goal came in the fifth minute of the game, and Greenville's opportunities to score were limited by the Griffins 13-3 advantage in shots.

Senior Dani Pearce recorded all of Greenville's shots, including two on goal.

Goalkeeper Marjory Coates kept busy with Fontbonne's scoring chances, collecting five saves.

The Panthers (9-4, 2-1 SLIAC) host Principia at 7 p.m. Tuesday on Francis Field.
