Women's soccer defeated 4-0 by Judson in NCCAA regional contest

GREENVILLE, Ill. - The women's soccer team returned to action after an 11 day lay-off and were defeated 4-0 by Judson in the NCCAA North Central regional championship match on Wednesday in Greenville.

Despite the final outcome, Greenville had a number of opportunities to score as they accumulated 12 shots in the match.  Five of GU's shots were on goal.

The Eagles received goals in the 25th, 28th, and 31st minutes of the first half to assume a 3-0 lead at halftime.  Greenville held JU to just one goal in the second half in the 51st minute.

The Panthers top point producers of the season - Jen De Leon De Leon and Kate Arthur - each led Greenville with three shots.  De Leon De Leon had two attempts that were on goal, and Arthur had one shot on goal  Ellie Cummins and Megan Taylor posted GU's remaining shots on goal.

Greenville goalkeeper Marjory Coates faced 16 Judson shots, collecting five saves.

The Panthers (11-8-2) were NCCAA regional participants for the second straight season.
