Women's tennis routs Principia 8-1

GREENVILLE, Ill. -- The women's tennis team recorded their second 8-1 win over Principia this season with a victory in their SLIAC matchup in Greenville on Monday.

The Panthers swept all three flights of doubles matches to take a 3-0 lead into singles play.  The No. 1 pair of Bailey Pearce and Emma Wieland was an 8-2 winner.  No. 2 Courtney Blaser and Samantha Siefken and No. 3 Christina Bowman and Allison Fennewald were also winners in doubles.

Five of the six singles matches went to GU.  No. 5 Siefken and No. 6 Annie Bellinger grabbed 6-1, 6-2 wins in their flights.  No. 1 Pearce, No. 2 Wieland, and No. 4 Bowman also won their matches. 

The Panthers (4-4, 1-0 SLIAC) go to Webster for a SLIAC match on Wednesday at 5 p.m.
