Women's tennis brings home third place in SLIAC tournament

ST. LOUIS, Mo. -- The women's tennis team collected a 5-0 win over Principia to take third place in the SLIAC tournament.

Greenville completed doubles play up 3-0 after all three teams were winners.  Greenville's No. and No. 2 teams blanked Principia 8-0.  Bailey Pearce and Emma Wieland comprised the No. 1 team and Samantha Siefken and Courtney Blaser made up the No. 2 team.  The No. 3 team of Christina Bowman and Allison Fennewald won 8-6.

No. 2 Wieland and No. 6 Annie Bellinger ended the match with singles wins.

Wieland was the winner 6-3, 6-0, and Bellinger won 6-0, 6-2.

The Panthers ended the season with wins in four of its final five matches as they finished with an overall record of 8-7.
